1795 S-74 4- 40 35 5,500.00 Lettered Edge.  Brown with smooth surfaces that are a little dull.  Some red verdigris around C in AMERICA.  No other defects.  Tied for Condition Census #11.  Ex-Henry Hines;  Homer Downing;  1952 ANA Sale, Lot 1706;  William Sheldon;  Kenneth Rendell;  Mrs. Henry Norweb;  Bowers & Merena, 11-1988, Lot 2734;  Tom Reynolds;  Charles Wiggins;  M&R#4392, 9-1989, Lot 228;  CVM;  Robbie Brown;  Superior, 1-27-1996, Lot 104;  unknown;  2002 EAC Sale, Lot 174;  Sandy Cooper.  Pretty neat pedigree!!!!!  Noyes Photo #34700.  This coin was dirty and coated with a heavy coating of wax which I removed revealing a very nice S-74.  Much scarcer than an S-75, especially in better grades.                               A

1795 S-76b 1 60+ 60 12,500.00 Plain Edge.  Medium brown with slightly proof-like fields.  If you tip the coin, you can see faded mint red on the fields.  The strike is a little soft.  The planchet has some tiny marks that occurred during the planchet rolling process that didn’t strike out due to the soft strike.  There is a mint clip from 2:30-3:30.  There is an old, dull scratch on a dentil above B in LIBERTY.  Removed from a NGC holder graded MS62 Brown.                  A+

1795 S-77 3 35 30+ 10,000.00 Plain Edge.  Olive brown with choice surfaces.  Some very old, faint pin scratches below LIB.  There is a fairly large mint clip at 2:30.  Condition Census #11.  An important S-77.                A+
