#34700. This coin was dirty and coated with a heavy coating of wax which
I removed revealing a very nice S-74. Much scarcer than an S-75,
especially in better grades.

Plain Edge. Medium brown with slightly proof-like fields.
If you tip the coin, you can see faded mint red on the fields. The strike
is a little soft. The planchet has some tiny marks that occurred during
the planchet rolling process that didn’t strike out due to the soft
strike. There is a mint clip from 2:30-3:30. There is an old, dull
scratch on a dentil above B in LIBERTY. Removed from a NGC holder graded
MS62 Brown. A+ |
