1803 C-1 1 50 40+ 2500.00 Brown with smooth surfaces.  Expertly re-colored long ago.  There is a small dropped lamination hidden in the hair at the back of the head.  There are some old marks on the highest leaf on the left and on the two leaves directly below the highest leaf on the left.  There are marks on the right upright of N in CENT and the left arm of T in CENT.  Manley Die State 1.0.  It has some problems but still has good eye appeal.         A   

 

1803 C-1 1 55 50 5500.00 Light brown with a trace of faded mint color.  Choice, frosty surfaces.  There is a tiny nick on the rim over TY.  There is an old mark from the rim down to the top right of D in UNITED.  There are two tiny marks at the wreath under F.  Manley Die State 2.0.  High grade 1803's are very difficult to find today.  Great eye appeal.           A

1803 C-3 2 30 25 450.00 Brown with smooth, glossy surfaces.  There are a few darker brown freckles on the obverse.  There are two ancient, faint pin scratches on the obverse.  There are some very minor marks.  There is an old, dull scratch from the berry left of C in CENT to over CEN.  State 4.0.             A

 

1803 C-3 2 50 45+ 5,500.00 Medium brown with choice, frosty surfaces.  Some very minor marks.  State 5.0, with swelling through the left part of the date and a soft strike on the upper reverse.           A+

 

 

1803 C-4 4 35+ 35 3,250.00 Brown with smooth, glossy surfaces.  There are some tiny, old rim ticks.  There are some old, faint pin scratches on the obverse that take a 10X glass to see.  There are some very minor marks.  Still a very scarce variety.....especially in better grades.  Tied for Condition Census #11.        A
